Andrew Platt

Andrew Platt is a Managing Director of the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group at Cantor Fitzgerald. He joined the firm in October 2011.
Mr. Platt has over 11 years of experience covering financial institutions, focusing on Global Structured Finance, Residential Mortgage Finance, ABS Finance, and Specialty Finance and REITS.
While focused on the mortgage industry, Mr. Platt acted as Advisor to Rescap on strategic alternatives and on the sale of its European Businesss to Fortress Investment Group, financial advisor for BankUnited, Advisor to First Tennessee Bank on the sale of First Horizon to MetLife, and advisor to TPG Axon on its Structured Investment Vehicle.
Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Platt was an Executive Director at UBS, where he focused on Specialty Finance. Previously, he was a senior member of UBS’, Banc of America’s and Lehman Brother’s Fixed Income team’s focusing on a wide variety of financing alternatives for prime and sub-prime mortgage originators and ABS/MBS issuers.
Mr. Platt received an MBA in Finance from Fordham University, a JD from New York Law School, and a BA from Skidmore College.
