Charles Edelman

Charles Edelman is a Senior Managing Director and oversees all mergers and acquisition and restructuring activity for Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.  Previously he was global head of M&A at Bear Stearns.  He has advised on more than $200 billion of transactions for clients such as Starwood Hotel and Resorts, Stations Casino Inc.,  Triarc in its acquisition of Wendy’s, Wyndham International, Insignia Financial Group, ITT, Shorewood Packaging, Clayton Manufactured Homes, Jones Apparel Group, Harrah's Entertainment, Blackstone, Kraft Foods, Nautica and Penn National Gaming, across industries such as Retail, Apparel, Footwear, Lodging, Gaming, Real Estate, Industrials, Chemicals, Natural Resources and other industries.  Prior to joining Bear Stearns in 1994, Mr. Edelman was an attorney in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
 
Mr. Edelman earned a BA from Amherst College, J.D. from the University of Chicago and an MBA from DePaul University.
