Geoffrey Martin

Geoff Martin is a Managing Director and leads the Transportation Investment Banking Group at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.  During his career, Mr. Martin has executed transactions on behalf of clients in the Shipping/Offshore, Land Transport/Logistics, and Ports/Infrastructure sectors.

Mr. Martin is a seasoned investment banker, having spent nearly 20 years at Wall Street firms focused principally on Mergers & Acquisitions, and public and private debt and equity capital raising.  Immediately prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald in 2011, Geoff was Founder and CFO of ieeda, Inc., a start-up technology firm based in New Jersey.  Prior to that, Mr. Martin spent five years as Managing Director in the M&A Advisory Group at HSBC Securities in New York where he led the Bank’s Transportation, Logistics and Infrastructure industry coverage in the Americas.  At HSBC, Geoff led a team of professionals providing corporate finance and advisory services to a broad range of public and private companies around the world.

Prior to HSBC, Mr. Martin worked as an investment banker with DnB Markets, Deutsche Bank and ING Barings Furman Selz in New York.

Throughout his career, Mr. Martin has worked with a diverse group of clients including Overseas Shipholding Group, MC Shipping, Global Container Terminals/OTPP, Teekay, MISC/AET, Stolt-Nielsen, Seacor, General Maritime, Stena Group, Euronav, Kansas City Southern, JB Hunt, Heartland Express, Impark, Irving Place Capital, Apollo Group and others.

Mr. Martin received a BS from the Pennsylvania State University and holds a MBA from New York University.
