Mark Viklund

Mark Viklund is a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group within Investment Banking at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.  He joined the Firm in May 2011.
 
Mr. Viklund has over 20 years of experience covering financial institutions with a primary focus on the bank/thrift sectors.   In his career he has executed a significant number of M&A transactions and capital raising assignments for bank/thrifts as well as for specialty finance companies, broker/dealers and mortgage REITs.
 
Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Mr. Viklund was a Managing Director at Fox-Pitt Kelton, where he also served as Co-Head of US Investment Banking and a member of its US Management Committee.  Mr. Viklund spent the majority of his career in the Financial Institutions Groups of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and Lehman Brothers Inc.  At Lehman Brothers he also spent two years in Equity Capital Markets as equity origination sector head for financial institutions.
 
Mr. Viklund received an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA with Honors in Economics from Trinity College.
