Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. was again recognized by Pensions & Investments magazine for excellence in U.S. equity trading in five of twelve categories -- including two #1 ratings -- for the twelve-month period ended December 31, 2008.
Cantor Fitzgerald was ranked among 50 "core brokers" by dollar volume as follows:
Most difficult trades: medium trades (10,000-50,000 shares) #1
Most difficult trades: small trades (less than 10,000 shares) #1
Best execution: large trades (more than 50,000 shares) #3
Lowest execution cost: large trades (more than 50,000 shares) #4
Best execution: medium trades (10,000-50,000 shares) #7
According to the P&I rankings, core brokers must:
Trade globally
Provide trading services in multiple asset classes
Provide research
Offer soft-dollar and/or commission-sharing agreement services to their clients
