Strong Lineup Reflects Strength and Continuing Growth Across Cantor's Debt Capital Markets Business

New York – (March 7, 2008) – Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. has announced the promotion of Shawn Matthews as Executive Managing Director, heading the firm’s Debt Capital Markets group.  Underscoring its success and continuing momentum in the marketplace, Cantor further strengthened its global fixed income leadership team with several other key appointments.  In addition to Mr. Matthews, the Debt Capital Markets management team includes Jim Bond, Chief Operating Officer; Brian Edmonds, Senior Managing Director, primary dealership; William Lawhorn, Senior Managing Director, agency securities; Scott Moore, Senior Managing Director, mortgage securities; Tom Sapio, Senior Managing Director, repos; and Carmine Urciuoli, Senior Managing Director, credit products.
