Cantor Fitzgerald Equity Research Group Expands Coverage To Food & Beverage & Specialty Finance Sector

Two Senior Technology Analysts and New Sales Force Further Expand Cantor Fitzgerald’s Equity Research Platform

New York, NY – January 25, 2010 – Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., a leading global financial services provider to the institutional equity and fixed-income markets, today announced that its Equity Research Group has expanded its sector coverage with the hiring of three new professionals to its research team. Michael Diana joins as Managing Director of Specialty Finance, Edgar Roesch joins as VP-Food & Beverage Analyst and Brian Devlin joins the group to run Research Sales for the U.S.

Michael Diana joins as Managing Director of Specialty Finance, covering regional banks and will be headquartered in New York. Previously Mr. Diana was the Senior Equity Research Analyst covering financial services companies’ at Noble Financial Group. Prior to that he was with Citi Group, Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities where he covered mid-cap banks. Mr. Diana has an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance.

Edgar Roesch joins as the VP of Food & Beverage Equity Research. Previously Mr. Roesch was with Soleil Securities and Bank of America where he covered food and agriculture industry for over 5 years. Prior to covering food and beverage Mr. Roesch was part of the value-based research group at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Roesch has his CPA license and has a Bachelor of Science from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.

Brian Devlin comes to Cantor in Equity Research Sales as the head of the Boston office with over 20 years of experience. Brian most recently worked at FTN Equity Capital Markets where he ran the Boston office. Before that Brian ran sales offices in Boston for Jefferies, Bank of America and prior to that, JPMorgan.
