Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. Adds Ken Savio To Its Growing Capital Markets Business
New York, NY – September 30, 2009 - Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. announced today that Ken Savio is joining the firm as Global Head of Equities. Mr. Savio, who joins Cantor from Bear Stearns where he was Senior Managing Director, will be responsible for further expanding and strengthening Cantor’s global equity capital markets franchise.

Previously, Mr. Savio was co-head of Global Equities at BTIG where he led successful teams in buy-side relationships. Mr. Savio held a senior management position at Bear Stearns, serving as Senior Managing Director responsible for a global staff of 300 generating revenues of $1 billion, while increasing U.S. cash trading market share by over 25 percent and global cash trading market share by more than 33 percent.
Cantor Fitzgerald added nearly a hundred sales and trading professionals in 2008 and another 125 new strategic hires since the first of this year. Focused on a capital structure-centric business model and cross-market strategy, we are continuing to grow the fixed income, equity and investment banking businesses.
