U.S. Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Managing Director
Promoted to U.S. Chief Administrative Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald in 2010, Paul M. Pion oversees partnership administration, human resources, compensation and payroll, and business continuity planning. In addition, he serves as Treasurer of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.
As Senior Managing Director, Mr. Pion served as Cantor’s Global Head of Internal Audit. He has retained his role as Chief Ethics Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliates. He previously managed Sarbanes-Oxley compliance regarding internal processes and controls by Cantor’s affiliate, eSpeed, Inc., which was subsequently acquired by BGC Partners, Inc. Other responsibilities which remain under his office include Cantor’s real estate, key vendor relationships, insurance, facilities, budgeting, and cost control matters.
Mr. Pion joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 2002 after serving for approximately fourteen years with Deloitte & Touche, most recently as an Audit and Assurance partner focusing on financial services clients. At Deloitte he also headed up the New York office’s China Practice. He brought to his position years of experience in Hong Kong and China. In 2001, he served as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of New York.
Mr. Pion has been active in professional organizations and received a B.S. in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
