Our final panel, “The Doctors’ Viewpoint: What to Focus on in the Eye Space for 2023+,” featured Dr. larry Clewner, Ophthalmologist at Clewner & Kelly Eye Center, Dr. Brian Hafler, Ophthalmologist at Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Daniel Jewelwicz, Ophthalmologist Physician, Dr. Sunir Joshi, Medical Retina & Comprehensive Ophthalmology Physician at South Florida Vision, and Dr. Nicolas Yannuzzi, MD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology & Vitreoretinal Surgery & Diseases at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. The panel was moderated by Cantor’s Jennifer Kim and Olivia Brayer.

• KOLs expressed enthusiasm for recent developments in both dry and wet AMD, with a discussion on the expected usage of new therapies for geographic atrophy (GA), if approved, as well as their current & expected usage of new/upcoming approaches for wet AMD (e.g., Vabysmo, high-dose Eylea)

• Injection burden/frequency and the resulting undertreatment of patients remain an unmet need in retinal diseases. Addressing these issues could open opportunities in GA, as well as in diabetic eye diseases

• KOLs agreed that continued exploration of new mechanisms of action deserves further investigation
